When the 2025 monsoon floods swept through Punjab, Global Sikhs reached 25 villages in the first days and stayed for the rebuilding.
The work is still going, across seven coordinated efforts: clearing silt from fields, rebuilding homes, restoring livestock, pumping out water, spray and fog drives, and delivering ration kits. One recent ration kit run in Mansa alone delivered 1,400 kits to four villages over two days. This response was done in collaboration with Saanjh Foundation, Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, Nimrat Foundation, Feeding India (Zomato), and ImpactGuru.

Rescue
In the first days, volunteers in life jackets went out by boat to reach villages the water had surrounded.
Dewatering
Teams carried pumps and long hoses into the villages and pumped the standing water out.
Fogging
Standing water breeds mosquitoes. Teams ran spray and fog drives through the village lanes from a tractor-mounted fogger.
Livestock
Volunteers loaded buffaloes onto covered trailers and walked them to the families they were restoring livestock to.
House Rebuild
Global Sikhs and Saanjh Foundation rebuild homes the flood damaged. Each house carries a numbered plaque: house number 2 was started on 9 September 2025.
